Young Musician of the Year 2024

Updated: Feb 17

The Young Musician of the Year is an opportunity for children and students of any level to come along and perform a piece of their own choice in a friendly, relaxed setting.

The event is very informal and a great opportunity for young players to gain confidence and show their amazing achievements to friends, parents and grandparents. All performers receive some encouraging feedback as well as general tips on performance for the whole group.

It is not competitive, but we will be awarding the Dark Peak Young Musician of the Year shield for a particularly outstanding performance. There may be a few other awards along the way but the emphasis is firmly on enjoyment and having a chance to perform for your friends, family and each other.

Duets and small ensembles are also welcome to perform.

If you would like to participate please let us know by email to Application forms will be available in May.
